Stargate Empire at War

Stargate Empire at War is a game mod for Stargate fans. This is a mod for Star Wars: Empire at War, the strategy game.

It uses the same engine but modifies pretty much the whole game.
It adds the races depicted in the television series Stargate SG-1, and spin-off series Stargate Atlantis and Universe. In the single player mode you can use the Tauri (the humans) or the Anubis (a group of humans enslaved by the Goa'uld, an evil parasitical race) and the Wraith. The gameplay is identical to Star Wars: Empire at War, with the exception that the starships are those of the Stargate saga.

The balance between races has been achieved quite well. Although some elements of the series never made it to the game, it is fun to see how the Asgard ships destroy the Jaffa. It makes one wish that a high budget production would have been made. Still, this is, perhaps, the best strategy game that you can play that portrays the Stargate universe.

The installation file for this mod weights in at approximately 650 megabytes. Installation is simple, however, there are a few instructions. The readme file is poorly translated into English, and most of it makes no sense whatsoever.

It should be noted, after all, that this is an amateur collaboration from fans to fans.
